Pete was destined to become one of California’s movers and shakers when he relocated to the Golden State with his family in 1978. He attended California State University, Northridge, where he studied business and nutrition—an education that contributed immeasurable depth to his future foray into personal fitness training.

Only two years later, Pete co-founded a major fitness venture in which he played such a vital role that it provided him with a crucial springboard to founding his own personal fitness training company, Better Shape-Up, in 1990. Better Shape-Up was the lightning rod that conducted Pete’s fitness proficiency powerfully into the world. Better Shape-Up specializes in the physical, motivational and nutritional guidance that all must work together to harmoniously reshape the body, as well as the mind. Pete educates and empowers everyone he meets, and his dynamic personality and sense of humor uplift and entertain. He has hosted several infomercials, and can be seen regularly on such shows as QVC, Shop at Home, Home Shopping Network—and don’t forget “The Osbournes.”

But Pete’s influence and innovativeness don’t stop there. He is an inventor of fitness equipment, and regularly consults for other fitness companies. One of his proudest accomplishments was teaming up with Apex Fitness and Bodymedia in 2005 to combine his motivational skills and inspiration with the world’s most intelligent calorie management system, the bodybugg™.
